Liturgical chalice in silver with paten – Spain, ca. 1940–1950

Liturgical chalice accompanied by its paten, made in silver, in a traditional ecclesiastical style, probably of Spanish origin (mid-20th century).

The chalice features a bell-shaped cup with raised vegetal decoration (acanthus leaves), a cubic central knot with floral motifs, and a broad, richly ornamented base. It is a misa (mass) chalice intended for liturgical use.

The paten, also in silver, is intended for holding the host (Body of Christ).
The set is presented with its original transport case.

Inscriptions

On the paten:
“DOMINI SUPER ME – UNXIT ME – MISIT ME SPIRITUS”

On the base of the chalice:
• “Remembrance”
• “31-7-64”
• partial inscription “Rob…”

Probably a commemorative piece or a religious donation.

Marks

Visible workshop marks, including “PLATERO,” indicative of Spanish artisanal production.
