Description from the seller
About the owner:
"For more than 56 years I’ve been behind the wheel in racing. And if you include karting, even well over 60 years with rubber on asphalt. In that time I’ve done more than 1800 starts and driven over 1050 race weekends. From pedal car to Formula 1, and basically everything in between.
And I still happily climb into a race car; this year again in the NASCAR Euro Series.
Besides racing, another passion has grown over the years: collecting classic cars. Cars with a story. Many of these vehicles come from the 1950s and 1960s, a period in which I myself raced or was closely involved. They are cars that evoke memories of circuits, of different eras, and of another way of racing.
My interest was never limited to the famous or exclusive models. It is precisely the variety I find appealing. From a simple coach-built car to Jaguars and all kinds of other brands, each with its own character and history.
Many of these cars I have owned for 30 to even 40 years. They have become part of my life and my story. That is why it’s hard for me to part with them.
But there comes a moment when you pass the baton. And what makes classic cars so special is that they offer not only pleasure and history but also unforgettable moments.
I hope the next owners will have as much pleasure, appreciation, and passion for them as I have had all these years."

Jaguar - E-Type OTS 4.2 - Series 2
- 30 years in the current owner’s possession.
History and Background: The Jaguar - E-Type OTS 4.2 - Series 2
The Jaguar E-Type, described by Enzo Ferrari as the most beautiful car in the world, underwent a number of important evolutions for the Series 2 to meet changing international safety requirements. This 1969 model retains the legendary Open Two Seater (OTS) silhouette, but offers improved practicality through a larger radiator opening, better brakes, and a more comfortable interior. The Series 2 is known for its reliability and the powerful 4.2-liter six-cylinder engine, which provides an unparalleled driving experience and the distinctive Jaguar sound. This particular E-Type offers a fair opportunity to acquire an icon of British engineering.
GENERAL
The vehicle is in good overall condition with visible signs of use and general aging. This E-Type is a characterful example that does not hide its history and provides a solid basis for a enthusiast who wants to bring the car technically and visually to a higher level. The fact that this vehicle is being offered without a reserve price makes it a unique opportunity for collectors.
TECHNICAL
The car is powered by the renowned 4.2-liter Jaguar XK six-cylinder inline engine. Mechanically the vehicle is healthy and solid. As is typical with a classic of this age, regular maintenance and possible repairs should be expected to maintain mechanical smoothness and reliability for the future.
BODYWORK & PAINT
The bodywork and paint are in good condition but show signs of aging appropriate to the age. Depending on the desired optical standard, the vehicle may benefit in due course from minor work on the paint. The panel gaps are good and neat. The wire wheels are in neat condition. The canvas roof is reasonably neat but closes properly.
INTERIOR
The interior is in good, used condition and shows the normal signs of wear one would expect on a classic cabriolet. Certain cockpit components may require repair or replacement to improve both comfort and the authentic British look of the interior.
CHASSIS & UNDERBODY
The structural basis of the frame is sound and solid. The underside of the Jaguar shows normal signs of use and some light surface rust on the structural surfaces. While the base is healthy, the underside will warrant conservation and technical maintenance to ensure the chassis’s longevity.

Catawiki always aims to offer you the best possible buying experience. Our experts virtually review and select every vehicle in line with our submission guidelines and we require our sellers to provide the most accurate description of the vehicle. However, providing a fully detailed analysis of the vehicle is extremely difficult, and close to impossible. To guide you, we ask our sellers to provide information about the vehicle’s condition. Please consider that most vehicles for sale are classic vehicles and they often already have a whole life behind them, meaning that even a condition 1 or 2 vehicle might need maintenance to be ready for the road. It is advised to carefully read our submission guidelines that further describe details about the condition grades and types to manage your expectations. Cars are sold “as is”, meaning as described and in the condition they are in at the time of the sale and without any representation, warranty or assumption of liability of any kind as to the condition by Catawiki or by the seller. The condition of this item is the opinion of the seller and may differ from yours, your local garage, or the dealer’s opinion. This does not automatically mean the car does not conform to its description. Before bidding, please check your local legislation regarding vehicle registration.
