Oil on canvas from the 19th century, depicting a horse race in the countryside.

We can observe figures from the bourgeois class as spectators of the race.

Very good quality, the painting is unsigned but probably the work of a master.
We especially think of several Impressionist artists who dealt with the horse-racing subject.
On the back of the stretcher, there are several collection marks and a 'Douane' mark, which confirms the interest this canvas could arouse.

Overall good condition, note should be made of re-stretching with traces of overpainting and wear.
