Maestoso ,prezioso ,affascinante e gotico crocifisso d’altare in legno da frutto e bronzo dorato  in stile barocchetto.


Il crocifisso che stai per possedere  è un'opera di grande fascino che fonde la maestosità del Settecento italiano con un'anima profondamente legata alla tradizione Gotica.
Ecco la sintesi definitiva che unisce stile, storia e simbolismo:
1. Inquadramento Storico e Stilistico
L'oggetto è un crocifisso d'altare in stile Barocchetto, databile con precisione alla seconda metà del XVIII secolo (1750-1780). Rappresenta quel momento di transizione in cui la drammaticità del Barocco si fa più leggera, elegante e decorativa (Rococò), prima del rigore neoclassico.
2. Il Legame con il "Gotico"
Nonostante la fattura settecentesca, l'opera conserva un'eredità Gotica fondamentale:
Il Christus Patiens: La figura di Cristo non è trionfante, ma sofferente. Questa iconografia del dolore, con il corpo inarcato a "S", nasce nel XIII secolo gotico (pensa a Cimabue o Giunta Pisano) per suscitare empatia nel fedele. Il tuo esemplare ne è l'evoluzione barocca, più aggraziata ma altrettanto intensa.
La Geometria della Luce: La raggiera dorata agisce come una versione scultorea dei grandi rosoni delle cattedrali gotiche. Entrambi servono a irradiare la luce divina (il "Sole di Giustizia") verso chi guarda, trasformando la materia in spirito attraverso l'oro e la rifrazione.
3. Caratteristiche Materiche e Artigianali
La Raggiera (Gloria): Composta da raggi fiammeggianti e diritti alternati, tipica del pieno '700, serviva a catturare la luce delle candele sugli altari.
I Materiali: La croce in legno scuro (noce o ebano tinto) crea un forte contrasto con il Corpus e la raggiera, probabilmente realizzati in bronzo fuso o legno intagliato e rifiniti con la tecnica della doratura a mecca (argento ricoperto da lacca gialla).
I Terminali: Le estremità della croce presentano intagli a volute e conchiglie, motivi ornamentali "di moda" nel periodo 1750-1780.
