Wall sconce (2) - Metal, Brass, Aluminium

1950 Rare pair of wall lights in brass and black-and-white perforated metal. Composed of a slim body in gilded brass enriched with a pointed conical finial, they are dressed with rhodium-plated black perforated metal lampshades held by two small balls in gilded brass at the bottom of the shade.
The supports consist of a circular backplate also in polished brass.
These wall lights were made in France, around 1950, by the famous designer Mathieu Matgot.
They integrate perfectly into all interior styles, whether classical, mid-century, or contemporary.
