Johan Dijkstra, Varkens, a linocut in an expressionist landscape style from 1950–1960, signed and in good condition, in a limited edition 12/20, 31 x 36 cm image size (30 x 36 cm with frame), produced in the Netherlands and sold by Galerie.

Johannes (Johan) Dijkstra (Groningen, December 23, 1896 – there, February 21, 1978) was a Dutch painter, graphic artist, stained-glass artist, mosaic artist, and teacher. He is regarded as one of the most important Groningen artists of the twentieth century. In 1918 he co-founded the Groningen artists' circle De Ploeg with Jan Altink.
In his early work the influence of French Impressionism and Vincent van Gogh is visible; from around 1924 he developed further in a more expressionist direction.

Framed dimensions: 30 x 36 cm
Viewings are, of course, possible. In addition, we have our own in-house framing shop, celebrating its 85th anniversary. We also make use of restorers from the trade association: 'Restauratoren Nederland'. If you would like to make use of this, we would of course be happy to hear from you.
