Description from the seller
Ger Lataster (Schaesberg, February 16, 1920) can be counted among the abstract expressionists. After his studies at the Academy of Industrial Art in Maastricht, he then studied at the Rijksakademie van Beeldende Kunsten in Amsterdam.
Lataster is capable of applying abstract expressionism to the extreme. By using contrasting elements, techniques and materials, he repeatedly manages to surprise the viewer. Because Lataster applies these techniques consistently, his artworks come across as reliable, no matter how much the changes have evolved in recent years.
There is a crack in the work.
Viewings are of course possible. In addition, we have our own in-house picture framing workshop, which is celebrating its 85th anniversary. Furthermore, we make use of restorers from the industry association: 'Restauratoren Nederland'. If you would like to make use of this, please let us know.
