Description from the seller
Ad Arma, pseudonym of Ad Robert Meerman, (Rotterdam, July 23, 1954) is a Dutch sculptor, graphic artist, painter and glass artist. In his early period he worked under the name ARM. Ad Arma is Latin for ‘to arms’ or ‘into battle’.
Ad Arma is a versatile artist. In addition to his graphic work, he also creates bronze sculptures, gouaches, oil paintings and ceramic works. A small sampling of the themes that, over the years, recur in Ad Arma’s work. But more important than the intention the artist has with his work is the vision of the viewer. “The added value, the spirit of the work, is the contribution that the observer will project onto the work.”
Dimensions: 124 x 33 cm
Dimensions with frame: 153 x 58 cm
Provenance: Private collection, Netherlands
