Armando, Tree I, a 1984 lithography in a limited edition 73/125, hand-signed, in good condition, 65 × 45 cm framed, produced by Galerie in the Netherlands, in an abstract landscape.
Description from the seller
Armando, born as Herman Dirk van Dodeweerd (Amsterdam, 18 September 1929 – Potsdam, 1 July 2018), was a versatile Dutch artist: painter, sculptor, poet, writer, violinist, actor, journalist and maker of film, television and theater. He used only the name Armando and regarded his birth name as a pseudonym that no longer had any meaning for him. His oeuvre he saw himself as a single ‘Gesamtkunstwerk’ (a total work of art), strongly influenced by his experiences during World War II in the vicinity of Kamp Amersfoort.
This work from the Tree series is a minimalist rendering, where the title suggests the connection with trees and guides the interpretation.
Dimensions: 49 x 33 cm
Dimensions with frame: 65 x 45 cm
Viewing is of course possible. In addition we have our own in-house framers, celebrating its 85th anniversary year. Furthermore we make use of conservators from the professional association: 'Restauratoren Nederland'. If you wish to make use of these, please let us know.
