Armando Tree II, a 1984 lithography in a limited edition of 73/125, signed and framed, an abstract landscape from the Netherlands, 65 × 45 cm.
Description from the seller
Armando, born as Herman Dirk van Dodeweerd (Amsterdam, 18 September 1929 – Potsdam, 1 July 2018), was a versatile Dutch artist: painter, sculptor, poet, writer, violinist, actor, journalist and creator of film, television and theater. He used only the name Armando and regarded his birth name as a pseudonym that had no meaning for him anymore. His oeuvre he saw himself as one single ‘Gesamtkunstwerk’, strongly influenced by his experiences during World War II in the vicinity of Kamp Amersfoort.
This work from the Tree series is a minimalist rendering, where the title suggests the connection to trees and provides direction for interpretation.
Dimensions: 49 x 33 cm
Dimensions with frame: 65 x 45 cm
Viewing is of course possible. In addition we have our own in-house framing workshop, which is celebrating its 85th anniversary year. Furthermore we use restorers from the professional association: 'Restauratoren Nederland'. If you would like to make use of this, we would of course be happy to hear."}
