Armando, Tree III, a hand-signed lithography from 1984 in a limited edition of 125 (73/125), depicting a minimalist abstract landscape; framed, 65 × 45 cm, Netherlands origin, sold with frame by Galerie.
Description from the seller
Armando, born as Herman Dirk van Dodeweerd (Amsterdam, 18 September 1929 – Potsdam, 1 July 2018), was a versatile Dutch artist: painter, sculptor, poet, writer, violinist, actor, journalist and creator of film, television and theatre. He used only the name Armando and regarded his birth name as a pseudonym that no longer held any meaning for him. He viewed his oeuvre as a single 'Gesamtkunstwerk', strongly influenced by his experiences during World War II in the environs of Kamp Amersfoort.
This work from the Tree series is a minimalist rendering, where the title suggests the connection to trees and provides guidance for the interpretation.
Dimensions: 49 x 33 cm
Dimensions with frame: 65 x 45 cm
Viewing is, of course, possible. In addition, we have our own in-house framing workshop, celebrating its 85th anniversary year. Furthermore, we work with restorers from the trade association: 'Restauratoren Nederland'. If you would like to make use of this, of course we would love to hear from you.
