Antoni Tapies (1923-2012) - Graffiti

The work combines heliogravure technique for the printed background with color lithography for the superimposed motifs.
1. Textual Background: The background bears a typed text in Spanish that deals with the theme of graffiti, writings on urban walls, and the prohibition of posting signs or tracing drawings in the city.
2. Graphic Signs: Overlaid on the text are black gestural marks with a strong graphic impact (characteristic of Tàpies' Informal style) together with the numbers "1" and "2" traced in orange.
3. Signature: The artist's signature is printed in the lower right corner within the composition.
