Description from the seller
This is an oil painting on canvas by the Dutch artist Siert Dallinga. The work depicts a dachshund in a wooded setting, realistically rendered but with a soft, almost endearing appearance. In the bottom left, the painting is signed and dated.
Dallinga is a multidisciplinary artist. In the 1970s, he studied painting and drawing at the Academie Minerva in Groningen, where he developed his technical foundation. Since then he has pursued both painting and sculpture. His work is among others in the collection of the Groninger Museum, where several of his paintings can be seen.
