Description from the seller
This work was created by Saskia Boelsums (Nieuwer-Amstel, 1960), a Dutch visual artist and photographer who was named Artist of the Year in 2020. Boelsums grew up in Iran and Curaçao and studied at the Minerva Academy in Groningen.
Her work is strongly influenced by her deep connection to the landscape and nature, which is clearly visible in her poetic and painterly photography. Initially she mainly created 3D installations, often in collaboration with her partner Peter Veen, but since 2013 she has focused entirely on photography.
Boelsums’ landscape imagery is internationally acclaimed and has attracted worldwide attention for its tranquil and almost painterly character.
Dimensions: 70 x 70 cm
Dimensions with frame: 73 x 73 cm
Viewing is of course possible. In addition, we have our own in-house framing department, which is celebrating its 85th anniversary. Furthermore, we make use of restorers from the professional association: Restauratoren Nederland. If you would like to make use of this, please let us know.
