Description from the seller

The highly sought-after overview work by the world-renowned photographer Erwin Olaf (deceased on 20 September 2023).

At the launch of this now much sought-after monograph in 2011, two editions appeared: a handy, non-limited edition and an exceptionally large SUMO version of about 20 kilograms, with closed dimensions of 70 x 50 cm.

The large edition was issued in a very limited run of only 300 copies.

Each book is numbered and signed by Erwin Olaf.

This exclusive SUMO edition sold out immediately and is now regarded as a coveted collectible.

This copy is number 56 of 300 and is in impeccable condition.

The monumental book features a luxurious white cover, bearing only a photographic image on the front and back, in keeping with the minimalist and powerful design for which Olaf was known.

Erwin Olaf (1959–2023) was an internationally renowned Dutch photographer, known for his meticulously staged photography in which every detail was carefully orchestrated. Themes such as beauty, sexuality, identity and impermanence played a significant role in his work. He gained worldwide recognition and photographed, among other things, members of the Dutch royal family.
