Desert Staged, a limited edition giclée on canvas by Le Yack (Alexandre Pelletier), 40 x 40 cm, signed by the artist on the front and back, in good condition, edition of 20, produced in France and sold directly from the artist after 2020, with a certificate of authenticity.
Description from the seller
Under the blazing sun of a arid desert landscape, a woman wearing a pastel pink 1950s dress sits gracefully in the shade of the awning of a gleaming aluminum caravan. The vehicle’s metallic surface, like a distorting mirror, reflects not only the distant mountains and the back of the female figure, but above all reveals the narrative key of the work: the ghostly reflection of a man holding a camera, freezing this exact moment. This subtle mise-en-abyme transforms a scene of summer calm into a fascinating meditation on voyeurism, memory, and the theatricality of our lives. Le Yack masterfully handles dazzling light and the texture of chrome metal here, offering a canvas of great psychological depth.
