Michel Karis

Lovely little picture frame in an unusual octagonal shape. The front is beautifully enamelled in blue, white and black. The blue part is enamelled using the guilloche technique. A difficult technique, which was also often applied by Fabergé and Cartier for example. 
The frame is not hallmarked, the basis could be made of silver-plated metal for the firmness, on the front silver seems to have been used, partly because the guilloche technique can only be applied to softer metals like silver and gold. See the photos as well.

Condition:
- excellent, the frame is photographed without glass, because of the reflection, it is present, however.
