A linen textile piece embroidered and dyed based on the drawing Champfleurette #2 by Louise Bourgeois. The motif represents an animal face — between a cat and a hybrid creature — built using dashed lines and fields of color. Notably, the large red fingerprint located at the center of the forehead stands out, functioning as a compositional element and as a direct reference to identity, the fingerprint, and body memory, recurring themes in Bourgeois's work.

The composition uses a very characteristic color range: red, blue/turquoise, black, and gray, applied to white fabric. The dashed lines generate the contour of the face, the eyes, the snout and the different planes of the figure, while the texture and natural wrinkles of the fabric introduce a material dimension that differentiates the piece from a conventional reproduction on paper.

The reverse allows one to appreciate the transparency and the transfer of the serigraphy through the fabric, preserving part of the color intensity of the frontal image.

The piece is preserved with its original packaging/support from Third Drawer Down, where the artwork’s identification, the artist’s name, the reference Champfleurette #2 (1999) and the indication that it is a Screenprinted Tea Towel appear. In the photographs, a framed presentation of the piece can also be seen.

Condition: good overall condition, considering the textile nature of the object. It presents wrinkles and folds typical of the fabric and its conservation. The original packaging also shows signs of handling/conservation.
