Description from the seller
Panamarenko (Henri Van Herwegen) (1940-2019) was one of the most important Belgian visual contemporary artists and designed numerous imaginary vehicles.
Numbered offset print BING II (preparatory study for a spaceship of the same name). This was a numbered print issued in 2004 as an insert to the newspaper De Standaard.
Printed on biotop paper 160 g. This is no. 049051. Signed in silver print (thus not the original signature).
Dimensions
Height 27.3 cm
Width 36.8 cm
The supplement consists of 2 sheets that are folded and the instructions state to cut off half to keep the actual work; but this is fortunately not done here.
Image of the work nice. The sheets with virtually no wear (holes from the staples, but that is normal, came from the newspaper).
Panamarenko designed Bing II (2002/2003) as a hybrid flying saucer. The vehicle is envisaged in his imagination to travel between planets and the cosmic mother ship Ferro Lusto. The technique: According to the artist's theory (the Toymodel or Space-theory) the device is propelled by air via three 4D thrust motors. In the handwritten box bottom right is the description: "Bing II hybrid saucer with thrust (4D) and compressor".
Good condition with signs of fine creases and aging.
Photos are part of the description.
This lot is carefully packaged and shipped with a tracking code.
