Presented for auction by Second Vintage

This classic Omega Genève represents a cornerstone of mid-century Swiss watchmaking, offering a refined aesthetic that remains as compelling today as it was upon its release in circa 1973. The Genève line was conceived to deliver Omega's renowned precision and elegant design to a broader audience, and this example perfectly encapsulates that philosophy. With its clean lines, sophisticated dial, and robust mechanical heart, it is a testament to the era's dedication to quality and timeless style, making it a highly desirable piece for both seasoned collectors and those beginning their vintage watch journey.

Dial and Hands
The dial of this Omega Genève features a captivating sunburst silver finish that plays beautifully with the light. It is adorned with applied, faceted baton indices that have developed a subtle, darkened patina over time, adding depth to the visual display. The original stick hands, exhibiting matching patina, sweep gracefully across the dial. A framed date window sits neatly at the 3 o'clock position. Close inspection reveals light, even aging across the dial surface, with some minor spotting and subtle discoloration near the edges, consistent with its vintage nature. The printed "Omega" and "Genève" text remains crisp and legible. The dial is protected by a domed acrylic crystal that appears clear and well-preserved.

Case and Crystal
The 35mm case is constructed from 20-micron gold plating over base metal, paired with a stainless steel caseback. The case exhibits a classic round profile with straight, slightly tapered lugs. The gold plating shows honest signs of wear, particularly on the edges of the lugs and the bezel, revealing the base metal beneath in certain areas, which is typical for a watch of this age and adds to its authentic vintage character. The original Omega-signed crown is present, though it shows significant wear and loss of plating. The screw-down stainless steel caseback displays a brushed finish with minor scratches and handling marks. The domed acrylic crystal presents clearly, allowing for an unobstructed view of the dial.

Movement
Powering this Genève is the Omega Caliber 1030 manual-wind movement, clearly identified by the engravings on the copper-colored plates. The movement serial number, 35791129, dates the watch to circa 1973. The movement architecture is visually appealing, showcasing Omega's typical finishing standards of the era. The timegrapher results indicate the watch is running at +8 to +10 seconds per day. Exhibiting remarkable accuracy and consistency, performing brilliantly for a vintage timepiece.

Strap
The watch is currently fitted with a black leather strap featuring contrasting white and gold stitching. The strap is secured with a gold-tone pin buckle.

Condition
This Omega Genève is presented in good vintage condition. The dial shows attractive, age-consistent patina with minor spotting. The gold-plated case exhibits visible wear, particularly on the lug edges and crown, reflecting its history of use. The movement is clean and running strong. This is an honest, well-preserved example of a classic vintage Omega.
