Stammoeder, an oil painting on canvas by Pieter Haan (1926–2015), created in 1991 in an abstract style, measuring 82 × 72 cm, signed, original edition, sold with frame, produced in the Netherlands by Galerie.
Description from the seller
Pieter Haan was a Dutch artist from Dordrecht, also known by the pseudonym Pieter Hardenbol. He initially worked in an impressionist style, but later developed toward abstract expressionism. Haan was a member of the artists' association Pictura in Dordrecht and studied under, among others, B.L. Noltee and G. Brugman Sr.
His body of work consists mainly of paintings and works on paper, where color, expression, and simplified forms play an important role. In his later work, a powerful abstract visual language dominates with a clear emphasis on composition and brush handling.
Dimensions: 82 x 72 cm
Dimensions with frame: 80 x 70 cm
Viewing is, of course, possible. In addition, we have our own in-house framing workshop, which is celebrating its 85th anniversary year. Furthermore, we make use of conservators from the professional association: 'Restauratoren Nederland'. If you would like to use this service, we would of course be happy to hear from you.
