Description from the seller
Screen print by Martin Engelman. He was a painter, draftsman, graphic artist, and typographer. He worked, among others, in England, France, Italy, the United States, and Switzerland. In the Netherlands Engelman collaborated, among others, with Klaas Gubbels. His work evolved from surrealist to abstract-expressionist. From 1964 onwards he worked exclusively autonomously.
In addition, Engelman taught at various art academies in Germany and the United States. His graphic work was, among others, shown at Documenta III in Kassel. Engelman’s work is in numerous museum, corporate, and private collections. In the Netherlands, works by him are owned by, among others, Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen and the Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam.
