Edwin Molenaar

Introduced in 1958 by Franke & Heidecke in Braunschweig, Germany, the Rolleiflex 3.5F is widely regarded by historian-collectors as the absolute pinnacle of twin-lens reflex engineering. This specific iteration pairs the razor-sharp, premium 6-element Carl Zeiss Planar 75mm f/3.5 taking lens with a coupled selenium exposure meter mechanism. Its quiet Synchro-Compur leaf shutter and exceptional mechanical build quality cemented the 3.5F as the definitive workhorse for mid-century photojournalists and studio portrait artists alike.
