Hans Sieverding (1949) is een Duitse conceptuele kunstenaar die werkt met fotografie, installatie, film en tekst. In zijn oeuvre onderzoekt hij indringend thema’s als macht, identiteit, nationalisme, migratie en de rol van media in het vormen van collectief bewustzijn. Zijn werk kenmerkt zich door een kritische, analytische benadering waarin historische en actuele politieke kwesties met elkaar worden verweven.
Sieverding maakt veelvuldig gebruik van zwart-witfotografie in combinatie met tekstfragmenten.
