Ingwer Paulsen (1883-1943) - Bäume

Etching by Ingwer Paulsen, 17x23 cm, signed in pencil at the bottom right. Year and place of creation unknown, probably the 1920s or 1930s. Ingwer Paulsen (1883–1943) was a German graphic artist and painter, known mainly for his etchings—often with motifs from North Frisia. (see Wikipedia entry)

The etching is framed behind glass (frame 32x43 cm). On the back is a label from the art gallery Köster, Kiel. The frame is in excellent condition (no dents, chips, etc.), but it is probably not the original frame, as evidenced by the somewhat lighter (i.e., less browned) mat edge. The etching and the mat are aged and browned.

The lot comes from a private estate.
