About
Marino Marini (1901–1980) was one of the most significant Italian artists of the 20th century. He became famous especially for his expressive depictions of riders and horses ('Cavallo e Cavaliere'), which are regarded as icons of modern sculpture.
Besides his sculptural work, Marini created an extensive drawing oeuvre, characterized by a pared-down form language and strong expressiveness. Today his works are represented in international museums and are highly sought after on the art market.
