Context: De Carolis was an influential Italian engraver of the early 20th century, known for illustrating works by Gabriele D'Annunzio and Giovanni Pascoli.

Print in excellent condition, signed at the bottom left, sheet with wide margins, dimensions 35 x 25 cm; the silographic matrix 9.5 x 12 cm.
