André Lanskoy, born March 5, 1903 in Moscow and died August 22, 1976 in Paris, was a Franco-Russian painter and lithographer of the New School of Paris.
He arrived in Paris in 1921, where he attended the Académie de la Grande Chaumière and devoted himself entirely to painting. Wilhelm Uhde noticed him as early as 1924. After a long figurative period, he moved toward abstraction from 1938.
