Francesco Dezio — Red Dream, oil on cotton canvas, 70 × 47 cm, original edition, created in 2025, signed at bottom left.

AI-assisted summary

Description from the seller

Francesco Dezio – “Red Dream” – 100% hand-painted oil on canvas – gold enamels, UV-protective varnish – NO prints, NO giclée, NO AI

Authenticity
Original work 100% hand-painted – NO prints, NO giclée, NO AI
This artwork is not a print, it is not a retouched giclée, nor a file generated by artificial intelligence printed on canvas.
It is a 100% oil on cotton canvas, entirely painted by the artist, with gold enamel inserts in the background. Every mark is physical: real color layers, brushstrokes, glazes, corrections, the passage of human time, not printed pixels camouflaged as ink.
Unfortunately, the market is increasingly flooded with digital prints sold as “oil on canvas,” “mixed media,” or “original work”: in such cases the buyer is the object of real fraud, because beneath the protective varnish layer remain industrial printing dots and inks destined to fade over time, especially if exposed to light.

In this painting, by contrast, only high-quality, lightfast oil pigments were used, designed to retain their chromatic intensity for many years if the work is properly cared for.

Finish: final UV-protective varnish, which enhances the depth of tones and helps protect the painting from dust, scratches, and the natural risk of yellowing or loss of gloss over the long term.

Description / critical text
In “Red Dream,” a young woman with her hair up, wrapped in a red nightgown, is seated nude in a contemplative, self-contained pose against an abstract blue-and-gold background. The body is painted with a quasi-hyperrealistic technique, attentive to nuances of incarnation and muscular tension, while the fluid and material background introduces a dreamlike dimension, as if the silhouette emerges from a memory or a luminous dream.
The blue background is traversed by drips and areas of gold enamel that catch the light, creating reflections that change with the viewpoint. The contrast between the vulnerability of the pose, the intensity of red, and the preciousness of gold generates a subtle tension between intimacy and icon: the model becomes a suspended presence, fragile and at the same time monumental, a fragment of a dream fixed on the canvas.

Description
In “Red Dream,” a young woman with upraised hair, wearing a red nightdress, is seated nude in a compact, introspective pose against an abstract blue-and-gold background. The body is rendered with an almost hyperrealistic technique, attentive to subtle skin tones and muscular tension, while the drippy, textured background introduces a dreamlike dimension, as if the figure emerged from a luminous memory.
The blue background is traversed by drips and areas of gold enamel that catch the light, creating shimmering reflections that change with the spectator’s position. The contrast between the vulnerability of the pose, the intensity of red, and the preciousness of gold generates a subtle tension between intimacy and icon: the model becomes a suspended presence, at once fragile and monumental, a fragment of a dream fixed on the canvas.
