Jacques Callot (1592-1635) - 3 tavv. da Les gueux

3 original, numbered plates, in a late issue, from the series of 25 "Les gueux", created by Callot in 1622.
Exemplars with good margins, on heavy wove paper, in excellent condition, only a bit soiled by time, one with a yellowish blotch toward the bottom right (see photo).
1. a man with a tall Italian hat and wrapped in a cloak, holding a tin can; a dog sits at his right; in the lower right corner the number "18" of the series. Lieure, 500; Meaune, 706.
2. a beggar who nurses a newborn and carries another on his back; beside him a boy with a plumed hat; in the lower right corner the number "22" of the series. Lieure, 496; Meaune, 702.
3. two beggar women, both with head coverings; one holds a bowl and a staff and has a rosary around the wrist of the right hand; the other, barefoot, holds with the left hand a wooden spoon; in the lower right corner the number "8" of the series. Lieure, 8; Meaune, 692.
