Elegant lot consisting of 16 ornithological prints drawn from the famous Svenska Fåglar by the von Wright brothers, among the most important European naturalist illustrators of the 19th century.

Wilhelm von Wright (1810–1887)
Ferdinand von Wright (1822–1906)
The plates reproduce with extraordinary scientific precision several species of birds, depicted from life and rendered with great artistic sensitivity. The original work is considered one of the greatest masterpieces of ornithological illustration.
The present prints belong to the refined 1929 edition, produced with chromolithographic technique, which returns brilliant colors and sharp details.
