The edition is numbered 12/50, indicating a limited edition of 50 copies.
A representative work of Martins Correia's geometric figurative expressionism. It stands out for the striking contrast of stylized white figures against a deep black background, cut out by dynamic brushstrokes in vibrant red, green, blue and orange tones.
Martins Correia was one of Portugal's most esteemed sculptors and visual artists of the 20th century. A professor at the Lisbon School of Fine Arts, his extensive public and graphic work is represented in several national museums and prestigious private collections.
