Large Antique Gold Leaf Gilded Wooden Picture Frame – 19th Century (ca. 1850 - 1900) – 95 × 70 cm
Crafted from solid wood and richly decorated with finely detailed composition ornament over a traditional gesso ground. The frame preserves its original gold leaf gilding, applied using traditional late 19th-century techniques. The elegant floral and scrolling decoration is characteristic of high-quality European craftsmanship from the period.

The original hand-forged square-section iron nails are included with the frame.

The frame displays a beautiful authentic patina acquired over more than a century, enhancing its historical character and collectible appeal. It is perfectly suited for the restoration of an antique painting, mirror or print, or as a decorative statement piece in a classic interior.

Condition:
Good antique condition with signs of age and use consistent with its age. Minor losses to the gilding, composition and surface wear are present, together with old repairs, all of which contribute to its authentic antique character.

To ensure maximum protection during transport and to avoid any risk of damage, the frame will be shipped carefully disassembled, with each individual section separately wrapped and securely packed.
