Eleonora Stol (1946–2022), Dutch artist, presents an oil painting titled Zonder titel (2004) measuring 100 × 140 cm, hand-signed, in the original edition, in good condition, in the Expressionist style, sold by Galerie.
Description from the seller
Eleonora Stol (1946–2022) was a Dutch artist, best known for her expressive, colorful, and emotionally charged paintings and graphic works. She was born in Leiden and studied at the Vrije Academie in The Hague, and then worked for a long time from Amsterdam. Her artist’s name was also “La Roja,” referring to her preference for bold colors, with red as a recurring theme in her life and work.
Stol’s work is characterized by vibrant color use, dynamic forms, and an intuitive painting style in which passion, love, dance, and dream imagery play a major role. She often employed mixed techniques, including acrylic, oil paint, and pencil, giving her works a rich, texture-rich feel that directly engages emotion. Her art is described as lively, energetic, and full of movement, almost as if the canvases “breathe.”
Dimensions of the work: 100 x 140 cm
The work is on display with us in the gallery. Additionally, Art Dumay operates a framery (this year celebrating their 85th anniversary) and a restoration studio. So if you would like to make use of these services, we would of course be happy to hear from you.
