Anton Martineau (1926–2017) was a Dutch artist: painter, draftsman, sculptor and poet. He worked in an expressive, figurative style and often depicted human emotions, relationships and existential themes.
His themes mainly encompass love, passion and dance, including tango, where he captured the rhythm and ardor of the dancers in vivid lines and colours. Martineau exhibited internationally and his work is managed by the Anton Martineau Foundation.
