Splendid 60s Croton Chronomaster Aviator Sea Diver chronograph.
A vintage icon of work chronographs from the golden era, this historic model is one of the most charismatic multifunction watches of the '60s. Marketed in the United States under the Croton brand, while twin models bore the Nivada Grenchen signature elsewhere, it perfectly captures the adventurous spirit of the jet era.
Swiss manual-wind movement Landeron 248 with 17 jewels in regular working order for both timekeeping and chronograph functions.
All components are original.
38.5 mm stainless steel case with straight lugs, in good condition given its age.
Original black dial (one of the several variants existing for this model) featuring two subdials: small seconds on the left and 30 minutes on the right, with applied steel indices and the peripheral tachymeter scale. Steel baton hands with tritium inserts, central red chronograph hand.
The black enamel-coated aluminum insert, with minute scale, of the bi-directional stainless steel rotating bezel is in excellent condition considering its age.
Screw-down stainless steel case back with personalized manual engraving, indicating the serial number and model features.
Leather strap length 21 cm.
