Michel Dorigny (1616-1665) - Baccanale

Beautiful original engraving by Michel Dorigny, plate 5 from the series "Altri Baccanali" (Other Bacchanals), made in etching around 1650.

A trimmed-to-fit specimen, on handmade rag paper with the watermark "grappolo" (grape cluster), in good condition, only a small restoration at the bottom left corner and a visible crease; when held to the light, small abrasions are visible (see photo).
