This classic bottling belongs to the core Sherry Oak Collection. It was distilled at the Craigellachie estate in Speyside and matured exclusively in hand-picked, Oloroso sherry-seasoned oak casks brought directly from Jerez de la Frontera, Spain. Unlike modern expressions, it displays a remarkably natural amber-gold hue achieved entirely from the wood interaction, providing a heavy, full-bodied oily profile that made Macallan famous worldwide.
Tasting Notes:

Nose: Incredibly inviting, round, and classic Speyside sherry influence. It opens with distinct notes of burlap, fresh red cherries, and sultanas. This shifts into a sweet, velvety background of milk chocolate, rich toffee, and a faint hint of old copper coins.
Palate: Extremely drinkable and smooth. It coats the tongue with dense cherry syrup, dark dates, rich fudge, and warm vanilla. A mild, pleasant baking spice element follows, driven by cinnamon and a touch of black pepper.
Finish: Medium in length with a slightly dry, elegant wood tannin astringency. It fades out beautifully, leaving trailing, warming notes of sweet sherry glaze, spiced malt, and dry toasted almonds.
