Like the plates, the graphic works are not smooth surfaces: with a refined dry‑point printmaking technique, Valentini presses the paper so that the drawing remains raised relative to the plane. The subjects of these engravings are the same as the plates; only the technique varies: it ranges from aquatint to etching to drypoint.
