INFORMATION: Magritte's engraved works comprise only about twenty pieces, of which only 6 were produced directly by Magritte and are therefore considered original. The Indiscreet Jewels is the first original lithograph created by Magritte; it was issued by San Lazzaro in 1963. This type of original work created by the artist and published during his lifetime should not be confused with later editions, in interpretive lithography, authorized by the Magritte Estate upon payment of reproduction rights.
