Jean Carzou (1907-2000), born Karnik Zouloumian, French painter, engraver and designer of Armenian origin. A major figure of the post-war Paris School alongside Bernard Buffet, Yves Brayer and Jansem, he was elected to the Académie des Beaux-Arts and decorated with the Légion d’Honneur.
