【Description】

This is a Seiko Astron solar radio-controlled model. Inheriting the design code of the Quartz Astron, announced in 1969 as the world's first quartz wristwatch, the case is built from distinct facets and the lugs extend broadly, creating a three-dimensional form that changes expression depending on the viewing angle. The slim bezel tightens the overall look, and although this is a model packed with functions, its outline remains refined.

The case and bracelet are made of titanium. Compared with stainless steel it is light, placing little burden on the wrist even during long periods of wear, which makes it an easy material to live with as a watch worn every day. It sits neatly under a shirt cuff and also suits more casual outfits.

The dial is silver. The contrast between the bar indices and the navy inner ring arranged around the periphery brings a sense of order to a dial that carries a great deal of information. It features a date display, a day display and a 24-hour display, and the hands and indices are treated with luminous material, so the time can be read in dark places.

It is fitted with the solar radio-controlled movement Caliber 8B63, which receives standard time signals and automatically corrects the time and calendar. It supports the standard time signals of Japan, China, the United States, Germany and the United Kingdom, and also offers world time and dual time displays, so it works as a practical watch for those who travel or take business trips abroad. As it is driven by light, there is no need to bother with setting the time in everyday use.

The bracelet is the original titanium bracelet, fitted with a one-push three-fold clasp. The crystal is sapphire.

【Condition】

There are fine scuffs from use on the sides of the case and on the lugs. Several line scratches are present on the case back. Fine scuffs are also present on the bezel. The bracelet has fine scuffs and impact marks scattered across it, and there is one line scratch on the surface of the clasp.

There are no scratches on the sapphire crystal. The dial, hands and indices are in clean condition.

We have confirmed that it operates when exposed to light. We have also confirmed radio signal reception. Whether reception is possible depends on the location and environment, so we do not guarantee that it will receive signals at all times.

The rechargeable battery of a solar watch is a consumable part. We have not measured or guaranteed the state of charge or the duration on a full charge.

The item comes with the outer box, inner box, cushion, instruction manual, guarantee card and one spare link. The guarantee card is dated 22 December 2022 and bears the retailer's stamp, but the warranty period has ended and it is valid only within Japan.
