Raffaello Schiaminossi (XVII) is attributed to the original intaglio print titled Pentecoste (Pfingsten), dating from 1602, an early Baroque religious work on laid paper measuring 9.8 × 15.9 cm plate size (17 × 21.5 cm sheet) and offered by Owner or reseller in reasonable condition.

Raffaello Schiaminossi (1572–1622) attributed
“Pentecoste” (Pentecost) – Original engraving, dated 1602
For sale is an original early Baroque engraving “Pentecoste” (Pentecost) from the year 1602, attributed to the Italian engraver Raffaello Schiaminossi (1572–1622).
The depiction shows the outpouring of the Holy Spirit over Mary and the Apostles and belongs to the classic religious themes of Italian printmaking of the early 17th century.
The sheet is dated 1602 in the lower left of the plate and bears the ligatured monogram “RAF” as well as the designation “in. F.”.
According to literature the etching originally belonged to the following series “Quindecim Mysteria Rosarii Beatae Mariae Virginis” and corresponds there to sheet XIII (Pentecost).
