Antoni Tapies (1923-2012) - Petit t

Here we have a very rare and unique piece of art by Spanish artist Antoni Tapies. An extremely great opportunity to purchase a very scarce artwork from this artist that is hand signed in pencil.

Here we have a beautiful coloured lithograph titled " Petit t," created in 1982.

The artwork carries the mark HC lower left. ‘HC’ stands for Hors de Commerce. Translated from French, it literally means “Out of commerce” or “Not for sale”. These prints were set aside during the production process for the artist personal archive, possibly for gifts to family and close friends. HC prints are much rarer than the main numbered edition this being 75 for this piece. This rarity often makes them highly desirable and more valuable than the standard edition. This piece should never appear in the art market so limited number and very rare. Purchased in Paris, France from the auction house Bonhams.
