Description from the seller
Large-format antiquarian light print after Pablo Picasso – “Painter at Work”
(one of our last available copies in this auction)
For bidding stands an expressive antiquarian art print in light print technique after a work by Pablo Picasso. The print bears the round dry stamp of the light print publisher "Hanfstaengldruck" (see the last photos).
The motif shows the artist in a characteristic studio scene and thematizes the creative process of painting. Such depictions hold a special art-historical and iconographic significance within modern art.
The high-quality light print is characterized by an extraordinarily fine detail reproduction and a vivid tonal structure. This elaborate reproduction process was used especially for demanding art editions and gives the sheet a particularly collector-friendly aura.
