AI-assisted summary
Description from the seller
"Composition with Blue Woman" presents a dreamlike, deeply surrealist scene featuring a monumental blue figure floating gracefully alongside an array of deeply personal and symbolic motifs, including stylized village houses, rustic animals, and vibrant, expressive faces. The artwork captures a whimsical and poetic combination of Eastern European folklore, personal memory, and romance, seamlessly blending the boundaries of reality and imagination. The entire composition is rendered in bold, saturated colors and fluid, expressive forms that showcase a profound mastery of emotional storytelling through visual art, originating from “Derrière le Miroir” published by Galerie Maeght.
Marc Chagall was a pioneering Russian-French modernist painter and printmaker universally celebrated for his poetic, highly personal narrative style, avant-garde iconography, and rich, transcendent color palettes.
