Antonio Calderara, Blue Composition, a limited edition serigraphy (56/60) from 1960–1970, hand-signed, in good condition, 72.5 × 51 cm, Italy.
Description from the seller
Antonio Calderara was an Italian painter known for his refined, poetic approach to abstraction. After initially working in a figurative style, he gradually moved toward increasingly simplified compositions, exploring light, color, space, and geometric forms. His later works are characterized by delicate tones, subtle contrasts, and a sense of harmony and silence. Calderara’s distinctive minimalist language places him among the important Italian artists of the post-war period, bridging lyrical abstraction and geometric art.
The paper shows slight waviness/folding, which can be easily restored. With professional conservation and re-framing, this effect should disappear.
