Jan Collaert I (1525/30-1580) - Cristo e la donna di Samaria

Original engraving by Jan Collaert I after a drawing by Ambrosius Francken depicting the biblical episode of the encounter between Christ and the Samaritan woman at the well.

Proof with wide margins, on laid paper with a watermark, in very good condition, very light foxing at the margins, outside the printed area and the editorial fold visible (see photo).

Below the image a one-line biblical inscription “Iacobi puteus...Jesus. Ioan. 4.6”; number “3” of the series in the lower right corner.
