Monogrammista DWF - Vecchia donna con un rocchetto

Etching and burin engraving, executed by the monogramist DWF (signed with a monogram in the lower left); work after Enea Vico’s engraving, inspired by a drawing by Parmigianino. The print is datable between 1540 and 1550.

Overall dimensions: 21 x 18 cm

An impression from a contemporaneous edition on rag paper with a watermark, in excellent condition (see photos).

Subject: an old woman facing to the right, standing in a landscape, spinning; she holds the spindle under her right arm and the thread with both hands.
