INFORMATION: Recalling a technique used as early as 1943, Picasso had made cutouts of heads and silhouettes. In 1962, with his friend the photographer André Villers, he mounted the cutouts on different photographs, 30 in total, thus varying their effect and value. The complete set of phototypes was published by Berggruen in the portfolio "Diurnes" issued in 1000 copies.
